Sutra 2.4.0 is live on the App Store, and if you read comics or manga, this one’s for you.
Panel-by-panel reading now runs on a single, improved detector for every comic and manga, so it behaves the same whatever format you open. Manga-style reading is a setting you can turn on for a whole library or just one series. PDFs get right-to-left paging, and the page curl turns the way you read.
Comics also open on the full page the first time, then remember the mode you used last for each book.
There are four new reader fonts too: Atkinson Hyperlegible, OpenDyslexic, EB Garamond and Libre Baskerville. Reading-time estimates are more accurate.
The library got some care as well. Sorting by author groups books into author stacks, Sort & Filter shows what’s active, and grid tiles line up whether a title runs one line or two. Series are always on now, so the Series as Collections setting is gone. Search also stops bringing the keyboard back after you return from a book.
Downloads and imports are safer. Files get size limits and checks before they join your library, and imports show a per-file results sheet, catch duplicates and have a cancel button.
