Hey everyone,

Two updates this time, and one of them has been a long time coming.

First, iOS 2.2.1 shipped this week. It's a meaty one under the hood:

  • Streaming comic pages — CBZ files from Komga and Kavita can be streamed, so you don’t need to wait on a full download before you can start reading

  • Series stacks — books in the same series now group together in your library automatically, with a count badge so you can see how many you've got at a glance

  • A richer book details page — server descriptions now show up, plus a flip-through carousel of the rest of the series, and one tap gets you into any book from there

  • Smarter progress tracking — Kavita EPUB progress is now more accurate, reading-speed estimates are calculated per format, and completion status updates instantly instead of lagging

  • A pass of cleanup on cover sizing, spacing, and library stacks, plus fixes for duplicate titles and series names that were getting fabricated where they shouldn't

Second — and this is the bigger one — Android beta testing is opening up. This has been the single most requested thing since Sutra launched on iOS, so I don't need to explain why I'm excited about this part.

If you're on Android, or you know someone who is, I'd love to get you into the beta:

Takes about a minute. If you’re running Kavita, Calibre-Web, Komga, OPDS, or WebDAV servers, would love it if you sign up and provide your feedback. You can add your feedback in GitHub (https://github.com/koustavdg/sutra-support/issues). Thank you!

For ongoing updates as the Android build progresses — beta builds, screenshots, the eventual Play Store launch — head over to r/SutraApp. That's going to be the best place to follow along in real time between newsletters.

As always, thanks for reading this far and for actually using the thing I built - I really appreciate it.
