I’ll be honest - supporting the Duo took a lot more effort than I had initially expected.

Traditional iPhones and iPads give you two orientations: portrait and landscape. The Duo has SIX - count them: outer-portrait, outer-landscape, inner-portrait-flat, inner portrait-folded, inner-landscape-flat and inner-landscape-folded. And that’s before we even get to Split View.

The Sutra iOS 2.5.0 release now adapts across all of them:

  • Read across the inner display as a real two-page spread

  • Follow the page curl with your finger

  • Read EPUBs, PDFs, and comics across both screens

  • Use Panel Mode on the outer, inner, or folded display

  • Move naturally between folded and flat layouts

Still - this was a fun project - I don't know how many Sutra users have an iPhone Duo, but if you do, take it for a spin and let me know what you think!
