This is a big day for me. Android 1.3.0 is live, which means that our Android and iOS apps are finally at feature parity! I've been working toward this for a long time; we took some wrong steps along the way, starting this journey by working on a Skip based migration that crashed and burned, and then eventually creating a native Kotlin + Compose app which is what we finally ended shipping. Thank you to everyone here who tested, reported bugs and gave ideas! 🙏

Here's everything that's on both apps right now -

  • Panel by panel comic reading, with right-to-left manga mode

  • Page curl

  • EPUB, PDF, CBZ and MOBI support

  • Kavita, Komga, Calibre, any OPDS server, WebDAV, Project Gutenberg and Standard Ebooks

  • Series stacks, collections and favorites

  • Auto-scroll

  • Highlights, notes, dictionary and inline footnotes

  • Reading stats, and progress sync to Kavita and Komga

  • Two-panel reading on tablets

  • An e-ink display mode for Android based e-readers.

Here's what I am planning to work on next: KOReader support, text-to-speech and more panel improvements.

If there's something you'd rather see first, tell me. CarPlay? More OPDS options? Something else? Let me know!
